What Getbyliner is
Getbyliner helps founders and marketers get press coverage in two ways: reply to live journalist requests, or draft a clear press release and distribute it to press sites. No agency retainer required — and there is no monthly fee; you only pay when you distribute a press release.
The product is built for people who have a real story but do not speak PR jargon. You answer plain questions; Getbyliner helps turn that into a newsroom-ready release or a short pitch. Agencies still handle strategy, relationships, and custom outreach — Getbyliner is self-serve: match to open requests, draft a release yourself (with AI help), and buy distribution when you are ready to publish.
Why we built it
Our founder launched a website and shared it across dozens of directories — but the results never quite landed. One question kept coming back: how do you reach the masses? How do you get into the press?
Looking at traditional PR platforms, the answer was clear — and discouraging. Most were expensive, easily hundreds of dollars across different subscriptions, and offered very little real AI help.
So we built Getbyliner: an affordable way for anyone, even without PR experience, to reach mainstream media and move their business forward quickly.
